Well, I am going to be a senior in high school and this summer I literally don't have time for a job. I am going to NYC and Hawaii to visit colleges. Also, I am traveling to Spain with a college program for a month. This means that I only have two weeks available in the summer, but everywhere I go will not allow me to work this short.
I probably should have gotten a summer job last year. I can not work during my senior year because I have a full schedule of classes (AP and advanced classes), plenty of clubs I'm committed to, a bowling league, and community service.
I noticed that on resumes, there is ALWAYS a spot for employment. Should I skip this section or what should I write instead of "Although I haven’t had a paying job, being a student, participating in a wide range of extracurricular activities, and donating my time to the community has been a job of its own."?
And also, do colleges look for jobs on resumes? Will it look bad if I never had one?
I have been on college admissions committees. From my experience, it demonstrates a sense of committment and time management.
I would not go so far as to say it looks bad if you haven't had one, but it unequivocally looks better if you have legitimate work experience.

I live in Kansas and have been desperate to get out. Hawaii Pacific University has one of the BEST cheer squads in the USA. I auditioned and made it. I’m so happy and proud…. but I am leaving. Leaving my friends, family, etc. I’ve always wanted to get out of Kansas. Any tips or encouragement?

Yes, of course you will miss your family, and yes school is going to be a lot of hard work and stress. But you are also embarking on a thrilling journey.
So keep in touch with everyone over the ‘net (I think phones would be crazy expensive) and keep reminding yourself that this is an adventure to savor.

College Football Hawaii Bowl Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Hawaii Warriors (-1 1/2) Wednesday December 24th (8PM ET) (ESPN)
There is a lot of talk why Notre Dame is in Hawaii for a bowl game on Christmas Eve. Here is the truth. Fighting Irish head coach Charlie Weis is trying to recruit the nations top linebacker prospect that happens to play his high school football in Hawaii. So Notre Dame needs a good effort here and will bring focus to this game. The Notre Dame captains have spoke and of all the bowl games Notre Dame was eligible to play in they are excited about the 6 days they will spend in great weather while the rest of the nation is battling with freezing weather. Notre Dames defense has improved this season. They do a much better job of pursing ball carriers and tackling than last years squad. Hawaii does not possess the explosive offense we saw with last years Sugar Bowl team. QB Colt Brennan and 4 of their wide receivers from last years squad ran out of eligibility. The Warriors lost 3 games to defensive minded teams in Cincinnati and San Jose St at home and Oregon St on the road. An awful loss was a 34-7 defeat at Utah St. Take the best defense in this game and that belongs with the Fighting Irish who will be poised to finish the year at 7-6. Take Notre Dame +1 1/2.

I just finished up my sophomore year on jv. Now I am entering my Jr year. I play Running back I am 5′ 8″ 140lbs. I have a vertical of 28 and run a 4.9 40. What should i start doing if I want to play college football at Hawaii, San jose State or Fresno State. Who should i talk to?
You should try to contact the coaches of these teams. You should also try to put together a highlight reel of yourself so that the coaches can watch you. Finally probably just need to stay in shape and keep doing what your doing. I hope you come to Hawaii to play football!
