Bates, FSU, University of Chicago. I want major in music performance, and I do not how know how schools rank when it comes to music performance? This is just after high school, I may go somewhere more serious after, and I hope to. (interested in jazz)

Avoid Bates simply because of the Lewiston-Auburn area where it is located is beyond description. All I saw were condemned buildings, polluted yellow water, and old people crying on their porches. It didn’t feel like the US. Nothing was ever open (we looked around FOREVER for somewhere to eat dinner, and all we found was one Subway that was sold out of many things). Really, really, suffocatingly depressing.

I heard there's a program in Maine where you can become a certified teacher, with one year of course work and then 3-6 months of Student Teacher Sit-Ins, etc. Anyone know of the site or the college where i can get more info on this?

I know nothing about Maine, but Alabama has a program similar to what you describe. It is called the "Fifth Year Program." You must have a bachelors degree first, but you can earn a masters and become a certified teacher in about a year.

im looking for some good community colleges to go to for 2 years before i can transfer to go to my maine art college in colorado. are there any good ones and ones that might have descent art programs???
looking to see if there is one near raleigh…if not its okay

North Carolina has lots of community colleges. Probably too many to list here.
The one closest to Raleigh is of course Wake Technical Community College. The next closest would be Durham Tech Community College.

I don't know about art, but most community colleges do in fact have "college prep" programs that help you transfer to 4-year universities.

I'm from Maine, but I am in college until mid May, but I want to get EMT certification over the summer but I don't know where I can get trained…any help? Thanks, all the help is very much appreciated. Peace and love.

start here….I am currently residing center of Mount Desert Island
