College recruiters are aware of the level of academic talent within your school and know that the school policy is to institute a quota on the amount of A’s and B’s that can be handed out. With that being said, your 3.5 is an amazing GPA. I would say you have a great chance to get in to either of those colleges.
I graduated from Maryknoll with a 3.8 and 1250 SAT score. I was able to get in to Santa Clara, which if you look at their incoming class statistics, is a tough school to get in to. Good luck!
